In recent times, the department successfully geared itself to meet the various challenges thrown up by the COVID-19 pandemic
To motivate students to strive for lifelong holistic growth.
To foster psychological understanding of contemporary problems such as adjustment, relationships, conflicts, competition, aspirations, etc. by utilizing critical thinking, developing optimal attitudes and functional skills to effectively deal with various issues.
To inculcate knowledge, analytical and expressive skills for enhancing conceptual growth for effectively managing significant psycho-social and socio-cultural issues of growth and development.
The department would encourage increased research in the field so that students remain well-informed about the latest development in the discipline of Psychology. Advanced quantitative techniques of measurement and analysis would be incorporated and establishment of norms pertinent to the local socio-cultural context would be encouraged.
