| 1 | Walk for Health | The “WALK FOR HEALTH” activity was conducted by Health Club, St. Bede’s College Shimla on 18th March 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Kusum Sharma and Miss Jagriti Chauhan. The purpose of this activity was to make everyone aware about the health benefits of walking and staying active. All the volunteers reported at the main gate of the college at 10:30 A.M. The concerned teachers made all the volunteers aware about the importance of this activity and the health benefits of walking like- improving balance, blood circulation, limiting sickness and building bone mass etc. The route of forest road was chosen for the walk as the nature-filled, lush green road provided students with the best opportunity to enjoy this walk to the fullest. Dr. Kusum Sharma acquainted the students with the information related to various medicinal plants and their usage. It was a two hour long physical activity which proved beneficial in teaching students health benefits in practicality.
