HERITAGE CLUB-MIRAASA
“They say a person without the knowledge of their past, origin and culture is like a tree with no roots.”
The Heritage Club “Miraasa” of St. Bede’s College was formally inaugurated on September 3, 2015 by Mr. Raaja Bhasin, the co-ordinator of the Shimla Chapter of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH). Miraasa is designed to create awareness and inspire students to participate in heritage–related activities in College and in their locality. The Heritage Club of St Bedes aims at discovering the culture and heritage of our country as well as other heritage sites around the world. In the modern society it has become imperative to trace a society’s roots which bring about a basic understanding about how society, cultures and traditions flourished in the ancient times.
India is one of the most diverse lands found anywhere in the world and has been hailed as the most complex amalgamation of various cultural identities.
The Heritage Club of St. Bede’s College seeks to celebrate this diversity in ethnicity, traditions and beliefs that our beloved country has to offer and has achieved this through the medium of a culture exchange programmes, debates, heritage walks, historical tours, etc.
