FACILITIES

The primary goal of a well-equipped computer lab is to provide our students with assistance that enhances their possibilities of succeeding in their assignments that will eventually lead them to success in life. The computer lab has systems which are interconnected via high-speed LAN that further has hubs and switches.
The computer lab provides the students as well as faculty with high bandwidth internet speed that makes them proficient in keeping themselves updated with all the advanced technological developments that happen around the world. The students do not have to worry about the power cuts, as the college computer lab is fully equipped with powerful backup. Our college is WiFi Enabled, which helps the students work on their assignments from anywhere in the campus. Our round the clock WiFi facility makes sure that the students at our campus surf the net, gathering knowledge to their best, apply to their assignments and stand out of the crowd of other college students. Students are encouraged to carry out deeper research for their projects. With the help of this the students are able to build their hands on experience and upgrade their learning skills to move towards success. Our college has advanced computer lab to train our students practically and sufficient time is allotted to all students along with optimum lab exposure so that they can explore the world around them.
The entire college campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The students are thus able to access the educational websites and other online material for preparing their assignments and for preparing interactive power point presentations. Students, faculty and staff have access to the computer labs, which provide the tools and technologies to produce websites, edit papers, complete class assignments, communicate via email, and conduct data analyses and access library resources. Microsoft Windows software is available for word processing, statistics, spreadsheets and database management. A variety of graphics and website-creation software programs are also available. A number of specialty software packages, such as graphic, web design are also available. Lab consultant staff can assist students with little or no prior computer experience.
In addition to the above facilities department has its own departmental library with 207 books. Book Bank facility with 38 books is also there. This is a semester –based scheme in which books are issued free of cost to all students. Department is equipped with computer Museum. Department publishes a newsletter Techno-Chronicles regularly through electronic media which is used to bring departmental news to the students doorstep. Department has IT Club -Tech Know How’s which help students to make use of IT in a positive way and to enhance their knowledge in modern technology.

STUDENT PROGRESSION

The students have successfully completed their degree from the college and most of them have opted for higher studies.

Students have got admission in MCA from Punjab University. Many students have got admission in Himachal Pradesh University for higher studies (MCA and MBA).

Some students have opted work in banking sector like SBI. Also some students are working abroad(Australia) as well as in Indian companies in Chandigarh and Gurgaon.

Few students have opted to sit back and prepare for competitive exams to get better results..
