OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department of Hindi was established in July 1972. The objective of our department is to make students aware about their mother tongue and to develop excellent proficiency in the Hindi language. Apart from the academic achievements the department engages in various co-curricular activities. The department annually organized Hindi week during Hindi Diwas to highlight the importance of Hindi language. Department of Hindi is committed to enhance student’s ability to communicate effectively.

VISION

To develop a positive outlook towards Hindi language and literature and to familiarize the students with the various modern trends in Hindi literature.

MISSION

To provide the basic and general information about the Hindi language.
To impart relevant good quality education to the students
To inculcate the value of Indian Culture
To teach students the value of self-reliance and service

OBJECTIVES

To develop the intellectual, personal and professional skills.
Acquire basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) in order to communicate with speakers of Hindi language.
Acquire the linguistic competence necessarily required in various life situations.
