The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), St. Bede's College, Shimla, in collaboration with GIZ (DeutscheGesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and Urban-Act Integrated (Urban Climate Action for Low-Carbon & Resilient Cities), successfully organised a one-day International Symposium on "Climate Change Adaptation and Urban Resilient Communities" on 10th July 2026 in the College Auditorium. The symposium brought together eminent national and international experts, researchers, policymakers, academicians, and students from various colleges and universities. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Sebastian Markart, Project Head, Urban-Act India, GIZ, and various technical sessions were held which included presentations by Dr. Harkanchan Singh, Urban and Regional Development Advisor, GIZ, Shimla City, Dr. Ashita Sharma, Cities and Climate Change Technical Advisor, UN-ESCAP, Bangkok, Mr. Ravikumar, Urban and Regional Development Advisor, GIZ, Mr. Liju Mathew, Urban and Regional Development Advisor, GIZ, and Dr.-Ing. Ali Jamshed, Institute of Spatial and Regional Planning, University of Stuttgart, Germany.
