The Department of Science and Technology (DST) is dedicated to enhancing the participation of women in the field of Science and Technology (S&T) with the ultimate goal of achieving gender parity. Consolidation of University Research for Innovation and Excellence (CURIE) is a special initiative by the DST under WISE-KIRAN division which aims at promoting and supporting research activities in women’s institutions. CURIE programme provides support to women’s institutions in establishing state-of-the-art infrastructure to improve research and development resources, ultimately fostering excellence in the Science & Technology domain.
The main objective of CURIE is to enhance research facilities, build research capacity and promote a supportive atmosphere specifically within women’s institutions throughout the country.
St. Bede’s college has been granted “CURIE Core Grant for Women PG Colleges” for a period of three years.
