IQAC

The College has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in 2004 and is fully functional. St. Bede’s College is the insignia of Human and Academic Excellence where IQAC plays a pivotal role in sustaining and enriching the quality culture of the College consistently. The College IQAC designs/frames the policies of the College ensuring sustenance and enhancement of the quality of higher education as stipulated by NAAC.  It systematizes its work by setting up various committees for effective implementation of quality related drives. IQAC is the corner stone of academics and a linkage between the teachers and the administration of the College. It has played an important role in execution and enhancement of quality of teaching, learning and evaluation.  The IQAC of St. Bede’s College has facilitated a steady and continuous system of innovation in all aspects thereby functioning as an efficient channel in enhancing the efficiency of the institutional processes.

VISION

To develop a well integrated framework through internal and external quality evaluation and promotion of quality sustenance measures for academic and administrative excellence and for the growth of the institution.

MISSION

  • To provide student oriented learning environment to enhance the quality of teaching, learning and evaluation process through SWOC, optimum utilization of infrastructural facilities and ICT resources.
  • Regular monitoring of plans through mid- term reviews and periodic meetings for the promotion of conducive learning atmosphere in the college.
  • Planning and implementation of quality related initiatives based on inputs provided by the various college committees and societies.
  • To organize inter and intra institutional workshops/seminars/conferences/training sessions to strive to improve the professional skills and teaching capabilities of the faculty.
  • Conducting academic audit through interaction with faculty members for sustenance of quality assurance.
  • Enhancing versatility in education by promoting entrepreneurship through skill based/value added courses and through community outreach programmes.
  • In view of vision and mission of the College, emphasizing the spirit of innovation to endorse best practices.
  • Constructive interventions through regular communication with stakeholders on quality related institutional processes.
  • Regularly evaluation of the working of the decentralized system by maintaining an effective feedback system.
  • To develop the institutional database and dissemination of information.
  • To prepare and submit AQAR’s and self study report as per the guidelines prescribed by NAAC.
  • Facilitating a steady and continuous system of innovation in all aspects of the functioning of the institution.

IQAC Functions – As per UGC Guidelines

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the Colleges;
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process
  • Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes
  • Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
  • Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the College, leading to quality improvement.
